ANM & MPHW:

Admission Requirements

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
  • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.
  • The minimum educational requirements shall be 10 + 2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Science or Health care Science – Vocational stream ONLY passing out from recognized Board.
  • Student shall be medically fit.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of Open School.
  • Student shall be admitted once in a year.

GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY (GNM):

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:

  • Should have completed intermediate +2 its equivalent (Any group)
  • Should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of year of admission and below 35 years.

DURATION & MEDIUM

  • Duration is 3years.
  • Medium of instruction is English only.

AIM:

To prepare nurses with a sound educational programme in nursing to enable them to function as efficient members of the health team, beginning with the competencies for first level positions in all kinds of health care settings.

B.SC NURSING:

ADMISSION REQUIREMENT:

  • 10+2 Passed @45% aggregate of marks in science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology); 10+2 passed out from recognized board under AISSCE/ CBSE/ ICSE/SSCE/HSCE/NIOS/APOSS or other equivalent Board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  • Intermediate Vocational with Bridge Course in Biological and Physical Sciences
  • Those who belongs to SC, ST and BC are eligible with 40% aggregate Marks in the Science Group subjects (Botany, Physics, Chemistry and Zoology) as per orders of the Secretary Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi
  • Students shall be medically fit
  • Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought

M.SC NURSING:

  • Educational Qualification: The candidate should have passed B.Sc. (Nursing) /B.Sc., Hons (Nursing)/Post Basic B.Sc., (Nursing) from an Institution that is recognized by the Indian Nursing Council to admission in M.Sc. (N) copy with minimum of 55% aggregate marks and 5% relaxation of marks for SC and ST candidates.
  • Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing.
  • Candidate shall be medically fit.
  • Age Limit: Both the Service and Non-service candidates should not have completed 45 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission; for candidates belonging to SC/ST the maximum age limit shall be 48 years.
  • The candidates who qualified Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) from IGNOU through distance education are also eligible, if Indian Nursing Council recognizes the study centre.
  • Duration – 2 years
  • Medium of Instruction is ENGLISH only.
